Chandler Matson is a trial and appellate lawyer with over fifteen years of experience handling complex litigation disputes, federal criminal defense, white-collar defense, and internal investigations. Known for his top rated work throughout Vermont, Massachusetts, and New York, Matson received the honor of being named on Thomson Reuter’s “Super Lawyer” list in 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Prior to joining Barr Law Group, Mr. Matson represented international corporate entities in all aspects of litigation and corporate structuring with the law firm of Ford Marrin in lower Manhattan, before relocating to Boston in order to focus on criminal trials and appeals. Mr. Matson has handled a wide variety of cases from complex commercial fraud, securities litigation, racketeering/conspiracy, money laundering, and international trafficking. He has also acted as lead counsel in hundreds of trial matters in state and federal courts, and has handled appellate matters before the high courts of New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. In addition, Mr. Matson acts as outside counsel for businesses and not-for-profits in Vermont and Massachusetts, handling their corporate structuring, general business affairs, and regulatory compliance.
